Communications Internship

San Juan Unified School District

Zubin Tagore - 2021-Now

In my role as a Communications Intern at the San Juan Unified School District, I've had the privilege of exploring the dynamic intersections of digital media, storytelling, and public relations. From video editing to website development, every project has been an opportunity to enhance my technical skills while contributing to the District's community engagement initiatives.

On video projects, I've been deeply involved in the creative process – from storyboard creation to final edits, bringing the school district's vision to life on the screen. I've seen first-hand the power of multimedia storytelling to engage audiences, and it's been thrilling to be part of creating such impactful narratives.

As for my work in written publications, I've enjoyed the process of conducting research, crafting compelling content, and then seeing it shared with our community. Each article or write-up I've developed has not only expanded my writing and editing skills, but also deepened my understanding of our educational landscape.

Website updating, though challenging at times, has been a rewarding endeavour. It's taught me the importance of user-friendly design, accessibility, and staying up-to-date with the latest digital trends. I'm proud to have contributed to an online platform that serves as a vital resource for parents, students, and staff.

Overall, this internship has been a powerful impact on my passion for education, communication, and technology. It's not every day that you find a position that challenges you, expands your skills, and allows you to contribute to your community. I am grateful for the experience I've gained at the San Juan Unified School District and am excited about the impact I will continue to make in my role.
